How to Toss:

Pambaram has very simple rules. All the players have to go at the same time for the ‘Goes’ – this is the ‘toss ‘for the game. The ‘Goes’ process is – at the count of 1, 2, 3 all the players should wind their Pambaram with their ropes, unwind it on the ground to rotate and then pick it up with the rope as quickly as possible.

The primary skill on this rely on shortest rope length usage and still make the Pamabram to rotate on the ground allowing you to catch it back with the rope

Conditions for losing the toss:

If the Pambaram failed to rotate on its nail on the ground –it is called ‘Mattai’, you lose the toss.

If you fail to catch the Pambaram through the rope then you lose the toss.

The last person to finish the ‘Goes’ lose as well.

How to Play the Pambaram:

The player who losses the Toss will keep their Pambarams inside the circle drawn on the ground.

The rest of the members will have a go at the Pambarams inside the circle. The person whose Pambaram is kept inside the circle will try to freeze the other Pambaram when it rotates inside the ring. If he succeed then other Pambaram will also put inside the ring, while others hit the Pambarams , the one which comes out will join the attacking gang.

The last Pambaram taken out of ring being pushed towards the other side ring be fellow players. Attacking Pambaram not hits the defender Pambaram has to replace the defender one and becomes defender. The last one reaches the other side ring ( approx 6 to 8 mtrs ) will follow the same rules of previous one.

The last one pushed out of ring by the attacking team is considered defeated.
